Concerts and masses are held throughout Poland today. A special performance is planned in Warsaw in the evening, with the participation of many great personalities of the Polish theater. A torch will be light at 9.37 pm, the time of the Pope’s death, in the square where the mass in his honour was held in April 2005.
In Krakow a vigil will be held under the Papl window and a special mass in the intention of the beatification of John Paul II.
The third anniversary of the Polish Pope’s death runs in the expectation of a speedy beatifiaction of the John Paul II. The beatification process enters the final phase. The process began only 11 das after the Pope’s death , when his successor Benedict XVI conceded to the plea of the masses and the Papal vicar Camilo Ruini.

Chris,
I think it is hard to be a pope after our Polish pope. He was just so good and he had such a good connection with people!
