“From Research to Rodziny” Annual Conference of the Polish Genealogical Society of America September 8-10, 2006 – Schaumburg , Illinois Annual Conference “From Research to Rodziny. ” Sponsored by the Polish Genealogical Society of America. Program will not only include topics on genealogy in general, but others of specific interest to those of polish ancestry such as Life on a Polish Estate, Polish Nobility and Heraldry, etc. There will be national and international speakers, opportunities to interact with them and to share and compare notes with other attendees. Translators will be available as well as society members who can provide research assistance. Our Media Room will include vendors offering books, genealogy supplies, photo restoration and more. Last, but not least, we will have several authors of recent note, among them Cecile Wendt Jensen autographing her new book “ Sto Lat ”,a how-to-book on Polish Genealogy. Well, that's a 5 hour car ride.. I smell a road trip! On the other hand, with the millions of Poles and Polish descendants living in right there in the area, that could be a tough to find seat!

If you get there early enough you might find a spot .... if not, you could scout for restaurants and piwo ...
