Hello.My name is Tessa Pilipczuk and i have been searching for any information about my grandfathers polish family. His name name was LEON PILIPCZUK,he was born about may 1923,in CHELM.He had a brother who was called SERGIUSZ (SERGIJ)PILIPCZUK,his birth date was 23-06-1913,He was also born in Chelm.They went into the army together and after ww2,went to England.They left their mother and sister in POLAND. Their sisters name is unknown,but i would love to find out? Their mother was called ZOFIA PILIPCZUK(MANKOWSKI before she married).ZOFIA was born in RAKOLUPY,(her birthdate was possiby 1891.ZOFIAS father was called TEODOR MANKOWSKI and ZOFIA'S mother was called JULIA MOLCZAN..Ok,(bear with me)ZOFIA married MAKSYM PILIPCZUK(His birth date is possibly 1883,but that's not 100%). MAKSYM PILIPCZUK was born in OSTROW.MAKSYM'S father was called JAN PILIPCZUK and his mother was called MAGDALENA DEMUSIAK.MAKSYM and ZOFIA married 09-05-1910,in Rakolupy. I have been told there are files of my pilipczuk family in a ORTHODOX church in Boncza......PLEASE,if anyone can help me.Or if you have any information about any of these people or just surname information.ANYTHING will be appreciated.If anyone lives near the orthodox church in Poland,PLEAE help me.I want birth certificates!!What happened to ZOFIA and her daughter?How many children did Zofia and Maksym have??Sadly my grandfather died,so,i am unable to ask him any information. I am on my own trying to search for any long lost relatives i may have,and could do with any help or advice anyone can give.Thankyou,for taking the time in reading this message.with love,Tessa Pilipczuk.

Tessa, Looks like the Bonsza you are looking at is in the south and east of Poland. Have you tried to find the churches in that area? Go to the LDS site and type in the village name and find the chruchs for that village. LDS may have films of the births, deaths and marriages fot that area. You can then order the film from the LDS and look at the records. They most like will all be in Polsh given the dates you are showing us. You can also write to the parish priest for this info. Better to find the films and search them for the names you are looking for. And the next time www.ancectry.com has a free offering use that site to look up family names. Jim

Thanks Jim.how can i get hold of the LDS site?I have written to the parish priest but they have said there is information on my pilipczuk family in the orthodox church in Boncza BUT the books are now kept at Krasniczyn Civil Regisrars office and i have written there and they havn't replied?? OOOPS looked up the town not the last name. Last name found nothing. Try a different spelling.
