I cannot imagine why so many young people have to die in the name of "Big Russia"

I cannot imagine why so many young people have to die in the name of "Big Russia" Jaga My thoughts are with you in this situation of Russian young people. For it is an intrinsic belief these young people enjoy the good life in as well as most any person would. Perhaps as not being a mind reader but of logical mindset of reality. The primary reason of your thoughts of these young people, is the prime reason of Mr. Putin's tossing his hopes in with the Wagner Group of mercenary fighters to carry out his mission. Karl

"Putinandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley
I met a traveler from an antique land,
Who said: “Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Putinandias, King of All Russias;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”
With thanks and apologies to: • P. B. Shelley

Kai
Oh goodness, so soon to forget and too long to remember..Yes, Percy Bysshe, Shelley. My thanks are to you for my remembrance of this long past poet:
ODE TO THE WEST WIND
O wild West Wind; thou breath of Autumn’s being, Thou, from whose unseen presence the leaves dead Are driven, like ghosts from an enchanter fleeing, – Yellow, and black, and pale, and hectic red, Pestilence-stricken multitudes: O thou, Who chariotest to their dark wintry bed – The winged seeds, where they lie cold and low, Each like a corpse within its grave, until Thine azure sister of the Spring shall blow – Her clarion o’er the dreaming earth, and fill (Driving sweet buds like flocks to feed in air) With living hues and odors plain and hill: – Wild Spirit, which art moving everywhere; Destroyer and preserver; hear, oh, hear! –

Kai, even before this war Russians were living shorter lives due to drinking and accidents. The war takes so many lives away. It is a problem for the society, for women, for having healthy families with babies.
