I think that the guy at the start means homogenious in staid of hetrogneous. The population of Poland has remained remarkably homogeneous, while the population of the Netherlands has become more diverse in character or content, meaning more heterogeneous and multicultural. Poland does not become less homogenious due to the influx of Ukrainians, because the Ukrainians are stil Slavic people with a Christian faith and pretty similar looking as the Poles. They can be easily integrated and assimilated. That is the main difference between Western-Europe on one side and Eastern-Europe and Central Europe on the other side.
