The very emotional crying woman in the beginning as an angry emotional farmer
Interviewer at the start of the video:
Are you angry?
Farmer women;
Yes, I am Angry, and sad, the Netherlands is going to hell!...
It was a small demonstration of Radical farmers of the Farmers Defence Force. The Yellow bulldozers are Police bulldozers. ( farmersdefenceforce.nl/strijders-bedankt/ )
Farmers Defense Force (FDF)
Farmers Defense Force (FDF) is a Dutch interest group for farmers.
The organization was founded in May 2019. The reason for this was a stable occupation in Boxtel by animal activists. The more than ten-hour occupation of the pig farm in Boxtel by animal activists on 13 May 2019 was the last straw for Mark van den Oever. The trespass led to the creation of FDF, which cooperates with parties with similar commitments, such as the Stikstofclaim foundation.
Minister Carola Schouten (Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality) called the occupation "unacceptable" on Twitter. She believed that farmers should be able to do their work 'without having to constantly look over their shoulder and be intimidated'. The Animal Protection and Wakker Dier are also not happy with the action and disapprove of the trespassing
Initially set up to help farmers "confronted with the excesses of environmental extremists", the organization soon broadened its scope to advocate for the interests of farmers at large. FDF is characterized by an activist attitude and has become one of the leading organizations behind the farmer protests since 2019. Farmers Defense Force has repeatedly questioned investigations into nitrogen emissions.
On October 1, 2019, Agractie and Farmers Defense Force teamed up with the support of the other agricultural organizations to protest against the nitrogen discussion and the proposed halving of livestock as an important partial solution.
"To measure = to know" was the theme of the FDF protest on 16 October. At the same time, there was a hearing in the House of Representatives about the various measurement methods used by RIVM. The following day, about four hundred citizens in The Hague joined the Boer burger breakfast (Farmer Citizen Breakfest) at the Hofvijver (Court pond). The breakfast was an initiative of Farmers Defense Force to "thank the Dutch citizens for their unconditional support to the farmers".
Actions had been announced by FDF before 18 October: the farmers and construction protest. The supermarket sector held the farmers liable in advance for all damage if they blocked distribution centers or shops. On December 17, 2019, a ban was announced by the Public Prosecution Service. Nevertheless, some farmers and builders went on the barricades.
On 25 October, dairy producer FrieslandCampina and sector organizations NZO and ZuivelNL withdrew their nitrogen plan. The three organizations had set up a task force to arrive at an alternative approach to the nitrogen problems. But because of farmers' actions, support had disappeared, they said. According to action group Farmers Defense Force (FDF), the challenged nitrogen plans had been put together 'without sufficient knowledge' and 'in great haste'.
In June 2022, FDF was criticized after an interview in de Volkskrant with Mark van den Oever, because he had said that "it could just happen" that "many more" farmers would come to the house of nitrogen minister Christianne van der Wal. He called the minister's children "pussy's" because, according to their mother, they were afraid when a group of farmer activists stood in front of the house a week earlier. Van den Oever also compared the treatment of farmers with the persecution of the Jews.
In May 2023, a Belgian branch was created, FDF Belgium.
