Pieter, thanks for posting. I think in Germany pro-palestinian protesters do not have a right to go on the street. Germany also has existential guilt about WW II, so they are afraid of showing any symphathy toward Palestinians since this can be read in Israel as being anti-semitic. Unfortunately any criticism of state of Israel policies is conflated with anti-semitism.

Pieter and Jaga Jaga has points that are valid in as much as to the past that Germany has for the most part trying to make up for the past war. www.brookings.edu/articles/is-germany-capable-of-protecting-its-jews/But, it must recognize that Germany is not Islamic by any stretch, but Christian and to a degree not so tolerant of such displayed as presented of such Pro-Palestinian demonstration as presented. It is of past, the safest neighborhood areas were Jewish, but over time this has been watered down somewhat. Karl

Not all of these Pro-Palestinian demonstrations are peaceful. There are Hamas, Hezbollah and Pro-PLFP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) elements amongst them and Far Left/Extreme Left elements amongst them. European, Non-Israeli Jews feel threatened by these huge Pro Palestinian demonstrations with the aggressive slogans 'From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free'. Media do not show everything and like the fact that you have quite a lot of lunatics, leftist antisemites and Islamists in these demonstrations. Part of the fact that Geert Wilders won was the fact that many Dutch people were irritated by these aggressive Pro-Palestinian demonstrations with thousands of Palestinian, Turkish and other flags. When they see a large aggressive migrant masses with some Leftist squaters, Antifa and other extreme fringes they see a hostile mob, and therefor some voters voted for Geert Wilders party, because they are Jewish, Dutch conservatives or people who didn't like these migrants with Palestinian flags in their train stations, Schiphol Airport, squares and etc.
