The Gaza War seems to be "An eye for an eye" War"An eye for an eye" (Biblical Hebrew: עַיִן תַּחַת עַיִן, ʿayīn taḥaṯ ʿayīn) is a commandment found in the Book of Exodus 21:23–27 expressing the principle of reciprocal justice measure for measure. The earliest known use of the principle appears in the Code of Hammurabi, which predates the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh or Old Testament).
The law of exact retaliation (Latin: lex talionis), or reciprocal justice, bears the same principle that a person who has injured another person is to be penalized to a similar degree by the injured party. In softer interpretations, it means the victim receives the [estimated] value of the injury in compensation. The intent behind the principle was to restrict compensation to the value of the loss.
You say 'an eye for an eye' or 'an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth' to refer to the idea that people should be punished according to the way in which they offended, for example if they hurt someone, they should be hurt equally badly in return. ... a very simple punishment code based on an-eye-for-an-eye.

Awad Dravsha, an Israeli Arab (Muslim) paramedic from the Galilean village of Iksal, was murdered by Hamas terrorists at the Re'im party. His partner on the shift, the Israeli Jewish paramedic Yaniv Riz, managed to escape and hide in a nearby orchard for hours. This evening, he is speaking for the first time, describing the horrors he witnessed and the terrible moment when he had to determine the death of his friend.

The Israeli Arab Amar Abu Sabeila was murdered while rescuing two little Israeli Jewish girls, aged three and six, during Hamas massacre in Sderot. Their father, Dolev, was killed before their eyes. Instead of prioritizing his own safety, Amar chose to take his family, including the children, to what he believed was a secure place—the Sderot police station—unaware that the terrorists had already taken control of the station. With bravery, he saved the girls and was tragically murdered alongside their mother.

Palestinians In Gaza And The West Bank Celebrate On October 7, Hand Out Sweets, Fire Guns In The Air, Following Hamas's Invasion And Massacre Of Israeli Civilians In The Gaza Envelope #10577 | 02:39 Source: Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar)Mayadeen TV (Lebanon)
On October 7, 2023, just hours after Hamas invaded southern Israel and perpetrated a massacre in the Gaza Envelope in which more than 1300 people were murdered, many women were raped, more than 200 were taken hostage, Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank celebrated the attack in the streets. A video from Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar) titled: "Palestinians overjoyed with the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation," showed celebrations in Gaza, Nablus, Jenin, and Bethlehem. The Iranian-affiliated Mayadeen TV (Lebanon) aired a report about Palestinian celebrations in the West Bank, according to which sweets were handed out in Nablus and in Jenin guns were fired "in jubilation." A little girl can be seen waving a rifle and a handgun in the air. Palestinian activist Omar Asaf said that "the only option people support is resistance and confrontation." Palestinian political Mustafa Barghouti said: "Today is a glorious day of historic proportion."
Onscreen text: "Palestinians Overjoyed with the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. Gaza – Palestinians Overjoyed with the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. Nablus – Palestinians Overjoyed with the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. Jenin – Palestinians Overjoyed with the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. Bethlehem -- Palestinians Overjoyed with the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. Mayadeen TV [Lebanon]."
News anchor: "Happiness and jubilation for the Al-Aqsa Flood. Palestinians in several West Bank cities participated in rallies supporting the resistance. In Ramallah, the people set out in a spontaneous rally, chanting slogans in support of the Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades. They called for clearing the [Israeli] prisons, by swapping the Palestinian prisoners with the occupation soldiers captured by the resistance."
Palestinian Activist Omar Assaf: "The resistance has proven today, once again, that the only option the people support is the option of resistance and confrontation, and proved, once again, that this occupation is weaker than a spider web, like Hassan Nasrallah said."
News anchor: "In Nablus, sweets were handed out in the streets, and in Jenin, members of the Jenin Brigade prostrated in gratitude to Allah, for the triumph accomplished by the resistance. They fired their guns to express their jubilation. The national forces called to support Gaza, by going to the contact areas and clashing with the occupation."
Folks,
What information does the Israeli people get on 7 October and the following days, while Hamas terrorists, killers, rapists and torturers went from Kibbutz to Kibbutz, village to village and town to town and murdered 1400 Israeli Jews, Foreigners, Israeli Bedouins, Thia guestworkers and others. Killing and burning men, women and children. Killing babies, toddlers and older children and brutally and sadistically raping and mutilating Israeli women and girls and even dead women and girls. These guys from the armed wing of Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, were and are savages, beasts, thugs and subhumans.
The shocking news of the atrocities, killings, rapes, burning of people alive were coming towards Israeli people, and in the same time they got news of celebrating Palestinians and that Palestinian civilians were there were the massacres took place. Palestinian women and children looted Kibbutz houses, and houses in Israeli towns and villages, where the fresh dead bodies of whole families were stil there. This shocked and pissed off many Israeli's who started to see Palestinians as beast and murderers. The level of 'Revenge' thought logically were high. If you realize next to this that in Israeli education there is little information and knowledge about the Arab-Palestinian side and history and that Israeli propaganda plays are role as well. You can understand that there is little empathy and understanding of the Palestinians in Gaza. At the same time most Palestinians don't know Israeli's, and get Palestinian Hamas and Fatah propaganda and often antisemitic and Anti-Israeli/anti-Zionist education. The 2 sides don't know each other and only see their own narrative and side.
The Israeli's that were divided in Far right and rightwing government supporters, the Centrist moderate opposition parties (the centrist and liberal political alliance Blue and White (Hebrew: כָּחוֹל לָבָן Kaḥol Lavan) of Benny Gantz which has 6 seats in the Knesset, and the centrist, liberal Zionist political party Yesh Atid of Yair Lapid which has 24 seats in the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, which has a total of 120 seats.
The Centrist Blue and White and Yesh Atid were and are against Netanyahu's extreme rightwing party coalition government of Likud, United Torah Judaism, Shas, Religious Zionist Party, Otzma Yehudit, Noam and National Unity. The marginal, insignificant Israeli Left of the Israeli Labour Party (Hebrew: מִפְלֶגֶת הָעֲבוֹדָה הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִית, romanized: Mifleget HaAvoda HaYisraelitⓘ), commonly known as HaAvoda (Hebrew: הָעֲבוֹדָה, lit. 'The Labor'), which has only 4 of the 120 seats of the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, and the social-democratic Meretz party which has 0 seats in the knesset at the moment, are also against the present rightwing party coalition of Netanyahu.
But after the massacre of 7 October 2023 Israel became united against and Reservists that refused duty during the anti-government Protests against the Netanyahu, due to his Polish style Judicial reforms, the Israeli government reforms in the judicial branch, joined the army again and are fighting in Gaza.
The first months of Netanyahu's sixth term were centered around reforms in the judicial branch, which drew widespread criticism. Critics highlighted the negative effects it would have on the separation of powers, the office of the Attorney General, the economy, public health, women and minorities (Israeli Arabs, Israeli Druze Bedouins, Israeli Christians and Israeli Gays and Lesbians), workers' rights, scientific research, the overall strength of Israel's democracy and its foreign relations. After weeks of public protests on Israel's streets, joined by a growing number of military reservists, Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant spoke against the reform on 25 March, calling for a halt of the legislative process "for the sake of Israel's security". He was removed from his post by Netanyahu the following day, sparking further mass protests across Israel and ultimately leading to Netanyahu agreeing to delay the legislation for a month, until the next Knesset session after Passover.
