Danny Ghosen (Beirut, 1978) is a Dutch journalist and presenter of Lebanese descent.
Biography
Ghosen grew up in a Christian family in Beirut and came to the Netherlands as a refugee at the age of 15. Ghosen initially worked as a car mechanic, but then decided to study at the School of Journalism in Utrecht and did an internship at Wereldomroep (Radio Netherlands Worldwide). He then worked at RTV Utrecht and the MTNL.
He subsequently joined the broadcaster PowNed. In 2013, he was arrested as a reporter for PowNews for causing a nuisance to the Russian embassy. In the same year, he was beaten by Angola embassy staff who mistook him for an extremist. In 2014 he presented the program PowLitie.

A new documentary by Ghosen, Danny Demonstrates, started on November 30, 2017. He participates in various demonstrations around the world and talks to the demonstrators. In the first episode he runs with the right-wing anti-Islam organization Britain First.

The shadow world of the Dutch and Belgian harbours. Drugs and human smuggling. The Royal Military Police (Marechaussee) monitors the Aliens Act in the Dutch border areas to prevent illegal residence and human smuggling. Vlissingen, Borsele, Moerdijk and Terneuzen are joining forces to combat crime in their ports. The reason is that the smaller seaports seem to be increasingly attractive to criminals.
A criminal investigation team from the Marechaussee (The Royal Military Police) in Hoogerheide started an investigation in January 2023 led by the Public Prosecution Service Zeeland West Brabant after information was received that buses from rental companies were used for human smuggling. These buses would transport nautical materials to France, allowing migrants to cross the Channel to England. The transports probably took place in the summer of 2022.
This week the police arrested these suspects. The arrests took place in Ede, Vlissingen and Goes. The arrested are two men aged 24 and a woman aged 21. The Marechaussee police are further investigating the arrested suspects and those incidents. Multiple arrests cannot be ruled out.
'Grenslanders' is set in the border region of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen with West and East Flanders. A girl of African origin is found severely traumatized in the polders of the Borderland between Flanders and the Netherlands. Tara, a detective from Rotterdam, and Bert, a psychiatrist from Antwerp, try to find out what happened to her. They soon get the feeling that the innocent-looking Borderland and the people who live there hide more secrets than the tourist brochures suggest...
Silence, don't speak, you know the consequences when you speak. Belgian Flemish criminal in the Dutch-Belgian borderland.
