The leader of the Freedom Party (PVV) in the Netherlands Geert Wilders has made some controversial statements. In an unverified video that has surfaced recently, Wilders is heard urging Muslims who prioritise the Quran over the secular laws of the country to leave.

During the Iron Age, the different population groups in the Netherlands lived separately, so that they did not bother each other. There were the Protestant (Calvinist Dutch Reformed and Reformed), Roman Catholic, Classical Liberal (Pro Free Market, Laissez Faire) and the Socialist (Social Democratic/Labour) pillars. They called this 'pillarization'. In this very comical comedy interpretation for youth TV you can see in a humorous way how pillarization worked.
First you see a Protestant family in Black, then you see a Roman Catholic family during mass, than you see a rich bourgeous upperclass liberal guy and last but not least you see poor Socialist workers. In the end everybody agrees that Pillarization is a good thing and a quarrel breaks out.
Aug 8, 2018 Many Dutch people lived in America. They thought it was very important to remain purely Dutch.
On the couch sits the great writer Multatuli, known for his book 'Max Havelaar', an indictment of exploitation in the Dutch East Indies. But wasn't Multatuli himself employed by the colonial government and why was he actually fired? Dorine at her sharpest. Including Abolition of Slavery, Ship to the Indies and Florence Nightingale.

The first train in the Netherlands | Welcome to the Iron Age
July 5, 2018
The first railway line in the Netherlands was a great spectacle. There were many supporters, but also many people who found such a large vehicle a bit exciting. In this funny comedy you see conservative opponents of the train, and liberal ladies whom supported the train. Off with the train the Conservative gentelmen shout! Long live the train the liberal Dutch ladies shout!
On Dorine's couch sits the great Willem I, ancestor of all the House of Orange. He washed up at Scheveningen and put the Netherlands on the map with a heavy hand. He dug canals everywhere and ruled from behind the breakfast table. Until the Belgians revolted... Including The First Train, The Uprising in the Opera and Van Speijck.

In the past, it was very normal for children to work in factories. They sometimes had to work up to 15 hours a day. The work in the factory was very hard.

Pieter, it is sad that Hungary became a center of anti-immigration and anti-European movement and that there are strong forces in Netherlands that support it.

Pieter, it is sad that Hungary became a center of anti-immigration and anti-European movement and that there are strong forces in Netherlands that support it. Jaga, Hungary became the center of Rightwing Populist, Nativist, Nationalist, xenophobe, racist, national conservative agenda’s of various European Nationalist and Populist parties and movements. And not only European. American, Canadian, Australian, Russian and Israeli nationalists and Far Right politicians feel at home in Budapest as well. Netanyahu endorsed an antisemitic campaign in Hungary against George Soros, because Netanyahu hates George Soros more than he hates antisemitism. The Hungarian Prime Minister’s Right-wing to Far-right Fidesz Hungarian government’s party’s ideology is based on Hungarian nationalism, National conservatism, Right-wing populism and Anti-immigration stances. Viktor Orbán‘s government rule has also been characterized as a hybrid regime, dominant-party system, and mafia state. Starting with the Second Orbán Government in 2010, during his uninterrupted stay in power, Orbán has curtailed press freedom, weakened judicial independence, and undermined multiparty democracy, amounting to democratic backsliding during Orbán's tenure. His portrayal of the E.U. as a political foe while accepting its money and funneling it to his allies and relatives has led to accusations that his government represents a kleptocracy. His tenure has seen Hungary's government shift towards what he has called "illiberal democracy", while simultaneously promoting Euroscepticism and opposition to liberal democracy and establishment of closer ties with China and Russia. Since its inception, its political position has changed drastically, and Fidesz is now positioned as a right-wing or far-right party. Political scientists have described the party's governance as illiberal or authoritarian, with Orbán describing their model of government as "Christian illiberal democracy". Fidesz is currently a right-wing party, and it is national conservative while favouring interventionist policies on economic issues like handling of banks, and has a strong conservative stance on social issues, a soft Eurosceptic vision towards European integration, and has been described as right-wing populist. In the late 2010s, the party has increasingly been described as far-right; its ruling style has also been variously described as "soft fascism", "soft dictatorship",and "soft autocracy" with its anti-immigrant policies and pursuit of illiberal democracy. Orbán has praised Turkey, Russia, China, and Singapore as successful examples of illiberal states. During his presidency, Orbán has been described as drawing closer to Russian president Vladimir Putin. The closer relationship between the two leaders and nations has however largely been motivated by a tighter economic relationship, part of the government's "Eastern Opening" strategy, announced in 2011. Orbán has developed ties with the Far Right Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), the Far Right French National Rally (French: Rassemblement National) of Marine Le Pen, the Far Right French political party Reconquête of the French far-right politician, essayist, writer and former political journalist and pundit Éric Zemmour, the Polish Law and Justice (PiS) party, the Czech Far Right Tricolour Citizens' Movement (Czech: Trikolóra hnutí občanů, Trikolóra), the conservative Croatian Democratic Union (Croatian: Hrvatska demokratska zajednica, lit. 'Croatian Democratic Community', HDZ), the center right Christian Democratic CDU/CSU party Union in Germany 🇩🇪, the center rightwing VMRO-DPMNE party in North Macedonia, the Serbian government Party SNS, the right-wing Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) of the Slovenian Prime Minister Ivan Janša, Slovac’s Prime Minister Robert Fico's left-wing nationalist and Pro-Russian Smer party (Fidesz provided campaign advisers to Robert Fico's Smer party ahead of the 2023 Slovak parliamentary election), the Israeli Likud government under Benjamin Netanyahu, US president Donald Trump and his Republican administration, the Spanish Far Right Vox (Party), the League, the Brothers of Italy, the Estonian Conservative People's Party, the Freedom Party of Austria, Belgium's Extreme Right Vlaams Belang (Flemish Interest), the Danish People's Party, the Finns Party, VMRO – Bulgarian National Movement, Greek Solution, the Romanian Christian Democratic National Peasants' Party and Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance on the future of the EU, and the Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV) leader Geert Wilders, the Far Right Dutch Rightwing Populist JA21 party of Joost Eerdmans, Vox leader Santiago Abascal, Conservative People's Party of Estonia leader Mart Helme and the Portuguese Chega leader, André Ventura.
