Amsterdam | Building smeared from the inside by activists

The Amsterdam Academic Club on the Binnengasthuis grounds has been left defaced and soiled by the activist group. There are piles of food and water bottles, sanitary towels and other hygienic products and face masks. Mattresses and sleeping bags were also left behind.

The walls of the room are defaced with texts such as 'Free Palestine' and 'Ceasefire now'. A lawyer's number is also chalked on the walls. There are also cardboard signs with a map of the Binnengasthuis grounds and the barricades and a grid. A cardboard sign has been hung in the toilet with 'Please do not pee standing up'.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrations have been going on at and around the University of Amsterdam since Monday. The demonstrators include students and teachers, but organized groups are also part of the demonstrators, says reporter Silvan Schoonhoven. Samidoun, the banned group in Germany that cheered the October 7 murder and rape, is involved in the pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Amsterdam. "Samidoun is an international network that spreads anti-Israel and anti-Jewish propaganda under the guise of a 'solidarity organization' on behalf of prisoners in various countries."

According to German intelligence agencies, the Samidoun organization belongs to the radical Palestinian organization PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine). The PFLP also propagates armed struggle against Israel, but unlike Hamas, it is not religiously affiliated. Samidoun is clearly and extreme left, Marxist-Leninist, Communist, Palestinian organization, that supports the terrorism of Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the PFLP. Samidoun fanatics intimidate, harass and insult police officers and journalists who are doing their job. It is a deviant, obscure organization.

I wonder if we go back in the Netherlands to the times of extreme Anarchist Autonomen (Violent extreme Left Anti-fascists) violence of the eighties and nineties. The Netherlands was world news back then, these images went all over the world.

Amsterdam coronation riots

The Amsterdam coronation riots (Dutch: Kroningsoproer) refers to major violence and rioting in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on the day of the accession of Queen Beatrix, 30 April 1980. It was one of the biggest episodes of such disturbances in the country since the end of World War II and the most significant event of the Dutch squatters' movement (Krakersrellen).



Background

Since the 1960s and the 1970s, squatting had become common in Amsterdam to protest the city's shortage of housing. Many of the protesters were young native Dutch people of the baby boomer generation. The 1980 riots were preceded by the Afrikaanderwijk (Africans neighborhood) riots in 1972, Nieuwmarkt Riots in 1975 and the Vondelstraat Riots in March 1980, when authorities heavily responded to evict squatters from properties in the city.



On 31 January, Queen Juliana announced that she would abdicate in favour of her eldest daughter, Princess Beatrix, on 30 April 1980.

Beatrix ascended the throne on 30 April 1980, and squatters started to riot. The protesters were rallying under the slogan Geen woning, geen kroning (No house, no coronation). Due to the presence of 10,000 police officers, gendarmes and some military officers, the event turned into a major clash. The riots were centred around the Dam Square, where the new Queen's inauguration took place. Clashes also happened in and around Blauwbrug, Rokin and Vondelstraat.



One of the protesters, Karel Fassotte, claimed in an interview that apart from squatters, people taking part included ordinary students and football hooligans.

It marked a milestone in the mostly peaceful post-war history of the Netherlands. 600 people were wounded in the riots.



Aftermath

The squatters' movement had enjoyed much public support for their cause beforehand, but that was depreciated following the riots, partly because the Dutch royal family was highly popular, while the squatters had turned the day of accession into one of violence.

A new police leadership in Amsterdam started to force the evacuation of squatted buildings, including through special means.

In 2010, the Dutch parliament voted to ban squatting entirely.

If these mass demonstrations with extremist Far left elements in it won't cool down I fear that we will see a large clash with another group, which is not the riot Police, but the Hard Core of Amsterdam Ultra's, the hard Core of F-Side and VAK410, will get involved. The VAK410 (Dutch, "Section 410") was a Dutch Ultras group associated with AFC Ajax. The name comes from the name of their initial stand in Ajax's home stadium, the Amsterdam Arena. VAK410 was founded on 26 January 2001 by fanatic supporters of the club who were tired of being on the waiting list for the already existing hooligan firm F-side.

The F-side was founded in 1976. The biggest rivalry was between the F-side and Vak S of Feyenoord. The F-side has also many clashes with the North Side of ADO Den Haag and the Bunnikside of FC Utrecht. After the infamous Staafincident ( Iron bar incident ) in 1989 Ajax took measures.

The Battle of Beverwijk

On 23 March 1997 the F-Side boys met with Feyenoord hooligans on a freeway outside Amsterdam in Beverwijk and the violence which followed has been come to be known as the Battle of Beverwijk. Feyenoord and Ajax had not played that day. During the battle Carlo(s) Picornie, an F-Side top boy, was killed and several other people were seriously injured. According to some it was a miracle that "just" one man was killed. The fighting only lasted about five minutes. When the police arrived, the fighting had already stopped and no arrests were made. Feyenoord fans came armed with bats, chains, bottles, Molotov cocktails, and tasers, many of which were seized by police after the battle. The death of Picornie is still fresh in the minds of Ajax fans and, to this day, his seat is left unoccupied at the stadium in remembrance of his murder.




Folks,

If these chaps of the F-Side and VAK410 of Ajax Hooligans get involved the situation will go completely out of hand. Amsterdam is also the center of the Dutch Jewish community. If heated Dutch Jews and expat Israeli's (Zionists) get involved it could also get out of hand completely. Many people, Jews and Non-Jews are fed up with these demonstrations and the barricades in Amsterdam.

The Dutch army came to the assistance of the Nijmegen riot police with heavy equipment to clear the barricades. The same was the case during the Coronation riots in Amsterdam when army tanks cleared the extreme left Anarchist Autonomen barricades in the Vondelstreet in Amsterdam. The same kind of Autonomen (Anarchistic Anti Fascists) like ik Kreuzberg and the Prenslauer Berg in Berlin and the Autonomen in Hamburg and Copenhagen (Denmark)
