www.instagram.com/almost.co/reel/C7VmHotPd9H/Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has expressed controversial views regarding the fate of Gaza after the end of Israel’s war, advocating for Israel to fully occupy and control the Gaza Strip and encouraging Palestinians to voluntarily emigrate so Israel can establish Jewish settlements in the region.
In an interview with Israeli news outlet Kikar Hashabbat on May 21, Ben-Gvir said that Gaza should be ruled by Israel after the war.
Ben-Gvir said the most important step is “encouraging voluntary emigration of Palestinians” from Gaza, adding that Israel could then reconstruct Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip, according to Middle East Eye.
“If the emigration happens, and hundreds of thousands leave, you’ll be able to bring more and more and more people in,” he said.
Israel had constructed 21 Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip after taking control in the 1967 Middle East war, but the settlements were later dismantled and evacuated in 2005 by Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon.
Ben-Gvir added that he “would love to live in Gaza if possible”.

Two Israeli ministers were driven out of a hospital by hecklers angry at the government’s handling of the conflict with Palestine.
Idit Silman, an environment minister, left the Assaf Harofeh Hospital in Tzrifin in central Israel after being confronted by visitors and staff. Footage shows Silman, a member of Netanyahu’s Likud Party, being berated by a hospital visitor who shouts: “You’ve ruined this country! Get out of here!”
A hospital worker in green scrubs was captured on video asking the minister: “How are you not ashamed to start another war?”
In separate footage taken at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv, economy minister Nir Barkat is taken to task by family members of victims of the Hamas incursion of Israel on Saturday.
The hospital visitor asked Mr Barkat: “Can’t you see what’s happening to us?”
The Israeli government and intelligence services have been criticised for not anticipating and thwarting the attack. Egyptian intelligence was reportedly given to Israel last week which warned Hamas was plotting a terror attack.

Pieter For only as an opinion based upon fact is it is wishful thinking to give cause for immigration out of Gaza of population comprised of these Palestinians. For these are real people for how ever their actions or should we say, non-actions of prewar warnings to Israel of the buildup and intentions of the HAMAS organization. For in reality these people {Palestinians} are trapped in the GAZA by their surrounding boarders between Israel and Arab states that are intent upon non-allowance of these people to enter their lands. www.middleeasteye.net/big-story/britain-palestine-balfour-declaration-fatal-mistakeKarl

Karl, I completely agree. Palestinians are people, not sub-people. Expulsion or killing of all Palestinians is not comprehensible. Let's hope that this ceasefire by Biden would be finally achieved.
