Golly gee there's an advertisement...whose decision was it to put the ad there? Is it help paying for the website? Will we expect to see more advertisements?

Golly gee there's an advertisement...whose decision was it to put the ad there? Is it help paying for the website? Will we expect to see more advertisements? Hi Joyce! I may be wrong.... But I think the advertising is one of those deals where to have a free website, you must agree to allow the advertisements. I have a private Autism forum through the same outfit (proboards) and thats what I had to do. I have noticed that they seem to change according to what the forum's subject matter is. They must have some kind of filtering process that picks up certain words. You will notice sometimes ads for "polish", like in cleaning/waxing polish. when it's obvious to us that the word is Polish, as in ancestry. Hope this helps, Mary

Change is all we will have left, if he gets in, they will take all the rest.

OK Folks,
The Alien messages are gone. This is the useful side of having me around. Jaga has me as your friendly "DEW" Line or Distant Early Warning. Since I live in Alaska with a 4 hour time difference to the East US Coast, I sometimes can catch spam postings from Asia before they stick around the forum very long. Happily this is the most extreme censoring we noramally have to do on this forum.
If I have my cast of characters straight, one fellow posted gibberish here for a few months (with me on regular clean up detail) and then switched to rather harmless blurbs on visiting Spain and Madrid. I believe those latter we ahve left untouched in the spirit of welcoming most everyone!

LOL ;D ;D I just knew that we should have built one of those '50's bomb shelters!Hey really, who the heck would want to survive a holocaust, like nuclear war, and have to deal with/clean up the aftermath? ? Can you imagine the horror? What would be the point? Being a baby boomer, of the 50's generation, I always wondered about that. Not me, I would only hope to be reunited with my kids and grandkids, & other family members in a much better place. I could never bear living if my babies were gone. oh, how depressing... and I heard today that Iran is still capable of developing a nuke in the near future. Mary

Mary Give me a bomb shelter any day in my backyard. It will come in handy especially during our tornado season. Our bathroom closet is okay for hiding in, but reality bites if the tornado sucks up the roof and walls and away we go flying in the air with the wicked witch of the west. "Dorothy... Dorothy... where are you?" "Here I am Auntie Em."

ahhh .. even superheroes have tough days. I just finished my morning coffee and saw the original advert staring me in the face, and deleted it without looking deeper! And here we were keeping it as a bad example.
