Where have all my "Visualizations"gone? I mean the ones that are in my Windows Player and should be in the Media Player that is installed in my desktop. This is only a minor irritation and hardly worth mentioning but according to the posts on the Microsoft boards; I am not the only one who has this problem. I installed Windows Media Player 11 plus the patches and updates: Behold, I lost my visualizations. I have tried almost everything to get them back including a restart of my computer and a rollback of Media Player 11 to Media Player 10 and still no luck. Ah well the hunt will go on and perhaps an answer will be found. Visualizations are those nice little plug-ins that fill your screen with dancing colors when music is played. I do have them when I use the Player but, they are not in the Media Center. Like I said; this is a minor irritation, but a mystry non the less. ;D

Bob............Open your player. In the Tool Bar go to Tools>Options>Player tab When you open that you should see under Catagory in left Column Visulizations. If you click on that then to the right you should see list of all your visuals. Mine only shows when it is minimized in my task bar and to the far right you should see 2 buttons (one on top of each other) Hover over those and it should say (show video & visualizations) click on the top button and it should play your visualizations. I'm not sure it expands to full screen any longer win media 11.

One platform is a regular PC, the other platform is the Media Center. I have visualizations and Album Art in the Player on the PC side but, I only get Album Art on the Media Center side. Somewhere ,somehow there must be some sort of file association that is not working. The problem is very minor and only an irritation (sort of like that itch that cannot be scratched). There are many other people that have this problem and you would think that Microsoft would have solved it with a fix or patch of some sorts. When all else has failed I WILL drop this in the lap of Microsoft (it is their program) and I will also try HP. Lord knows, I do like the Album Art and Visualizations and they are available in the player. I'll just keep trying and maintain a stiff upper lip. ;D ;D
