I am very disappointed by the standard of Marriott hotel in San Francisco. It is very expensive (happily John's company pays the most, but not all), the shuttle from the airport was not free, there is no free breakfast, there is no refrigerator (except the one filled with drinks for sale (?) There is also the plate full of chocolates and snacks. Ela would love to try it, of course but they costs about 4 USD each. This is not the first time... but when I see the refrigerator full of drinks and a small bottle of water for 4 USD! but I cannot even stor my own food in the refrigerator because it is full of their food! It just makes me mad.
Since Marriott is owned by LDS (Mormons), the book of mormons is there to read also

Most Marriott hotels are very nice but each has a different package. Yours must not have come with a breakfast included. When I was in SF I stayed at the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf. We went out everyday for breakfast to a cute little diner in the neighborhood and then hit the road for our daily tours of the city. Did they at least serve fresh coffee. You could stop at a local store and buy one of those styrofoam chests and fill it up with your own water and soda and candies. Ice from the ice machine and your set.
I wonder if The Mongolian is still there. It was a gift shop with cute little wooden things in there next to our diner on 500 Beach St. Are you any where near there. (but then we are talking 1981)

I know that Warsaw's Marriott was considered the most luxurious hotel in Warsaw. Still, I do not know what amenities one gets there with the price. Our hotel is definitively very business oriented. I will made a picture of the small exhibition with bottled water for 4 USD one. I think, this is just ridiculous. They have a swimming poll and I was talking to the guy there. He told me that we can ask for the refrigerator to the room with no charge. We asked and we had a refrigerator delivered almost immediately. It is small and old (looks older and it has more bumps than I expected, but who cares. Anyways, nobody told us in the beginning that we may ask for it.
We also need to pay for using the internet, but I hope that this would be covered by John's company, since he has a talk here at the conference tomorrow.
