Pawi I just wanted to say - had to say - please keep posting your photographs. They are so interesting - well taken, well seen and contribute to what you must have now as a memorable record of your adventures.Leslie I will keep on posting them. I shall never leave you. "Well taken" is a praise I don`t deserve. Some of the photos miss quality, I know, but they are the only ones and I think it`s better to post them than nothing. Here is one of the most enchanting pictures I took last summer. I don` tknow about you but it is my favourite:

Visiting historical places is always a must, wherever we go.. We went to Chęciny to see the ruins of the medieval castle. Inside a small tower The view from the tower. The houses in Chęciny, a small town, are also of historic value. The view of the ruins from the town.

Pawian that kitty look much like Jagas new kitty. I like the fotos also and the cave is quit intersesting. I like cats, we have two at home, a mother and a daughter. Wherever we go and see some, we always take pictures of them. During our visit in the cave, a bat started flying all over one chamber. As the guide was just talking about bats, we joked that he used a remote control to operate the bat for the visitors. There were also cave spiders, spinning their webs on the walls, but I didn`t take a photo because it was forbidden, you know.

That was interesting of the caves {darn shame those guys are so intent on profits} and the bat story. I was admiring the castle fortress of Checiny. Castles seem to have an allure of their own. Some are just a large pile of stones fashioned into a fortress, whilst others hold an attraction that catches the eye.
I do admire people photos, their life in their own manner, and the manner of their livelihood.

One day we went to two places. The Prehistoric Flintstone Quarry Museum. It was one of the biggest flint excavation areas in Europe in prehistoric times. There was one giant quarry and a lot of small excavation holes in the ground. The museum allows the visitor to go down into the mine as well as see the history in a few rooms, e.g., the flint products, the reconstruction of a miner`s hut etc. Unfortunately, the hut house was closed due to the invasion of hornets. The diorama display of the area with excavation holes. A modern passage for tourists. The passage starts displaying the original prehistoric tunnel. The prehistoric tunnel. Next to the museum there was a reconstruction of a prehistoric village, with huts, villagers, bow shooting etc. Mud hut.

Yes, that`s it. It`s a nice place, very well kept, I mean its esthetic sight, and fun for kids, what matters most.

Thank you Pawi for those impressive and meaningful photos. They are not just records and you are giving a number of people extreme pleasure by printing them.I would love to go to there myself as pre-history is a big interest of mine, but I doubt I will ever make it. Your photos and the reactions of the children are the next best thing. Pozdrawiam bardzoo Leslie

I have to admit that when I logged in there was a time when the first thing I did was to check the jokes and fun forum for new offerings - but Pawian has changed that habit. I now check to see if Pawian has a new offering to share. Pawian, your stories and pictures are such a joy.
