The group touring Poland from western MA spends a lot of time in the countryside and we manage to often see storks. A first for me on my 2007 trip was a leisurely view of the black stork Ciconia nigra while rafting on the Dunajec River. It was a very impressive bird and an awesome moment for me. Pictures will come later as I lost my wire to transfer photos from camera to computer. I have listed two important stork sites on my site: www.squidoo.com/lensmaster/workshop/PolishCulture_Beyond_Pierogi_and_Cabbage The one showing the black stork is: www.explorado.org/solon-new/intro/introen/index.htmHave to get my day underway...more later, Gardenmoma
