Whoever is going to meet Jaga in Boston may wish to check this bit out. Boston's only Polish restaurant is the real thing The Boston Globe 1/9/03 Cafe Polonia 611 Dorchester Ave. South Boston 617-269-0110 www.cafepolonia.com/Boston's only Polish restaurant is the real thing, from the polkas that play on the stereo to the plates of kielbasa and stuffed cabbage that stream from the small kitchen. The Barcikowski family also owns the Baltic European Deli across the street, which supplies the restaurant with its excellent meats, breads, and cheeses. The Polish Plate is a good introduction to this world of tastes. The daily soup specials are hearty and fresh, and don't miss a crepe for dessert. Breakfasts are large and feature Polish bacon, sausage, and ham. So much better than those tired old links and patties.
