To compare - a photo from 1976. That was all that a communist economy and architecture could achieve. Apartment blocks A shopping center A club A store A housing estate By night A local train station building

Ok herr Pawian Am a deplorable Kraut to be impressed with the impressible with impressible structures of you your Poland? so what? we have so long past of Hamburg-Berlin far surpassed this! Our world has far long past been far in advanced of this. Charles or {Karl} hahahahaha Are you again moody today? hahahahaha I didn`t show the photos in vain hope to impress anybody hahahahahaha I am aware that today`s Poland`s achievements are only a reproduction of what happened in the West long ago. Yes, axis Berlin-Hamburg- Rome-Tokyo can be a good example. Yet, Americans may laugh at German achievements, as there is always a bigger fish hahahahaha I presented the photos because: 1. I liked them. 2. To show how Poland is changing, this amazing gap between boring drab socialist architecture and modern one. The difference is incredible and I don`t care what Berlin or other cities look like, what matters to me most is what Poland used to look like in the past and what I see now. Something that you don`t have was 2 days ago. In the thread about All Saints` Day. Do you expect me to provide you a set of something totally new and what you don`t have every day? ?? Charles, be serious for a while!!!!! hahahahahahahahaha

That`s how most Polish cities are built Łomża It has the Old Town It has the New Town - estates of blocks built in communism And it has the newest estate of detached houses built shortly before or after the fall of communism Overall view Old Town in the foreground, New Town in the middle, detached houses in the background

Wow....looking at these sets of pictures, the cities of Poland are very dense in housing and commerce. The red/orange roofs seem to be a signature of the land. Are the roofs made of clay or is it the same concrete used to build the buildings or is it asphalt material?
People who live in these-side by side homes-do they own their own home or are they rental units-like condos or apartments here in the states? Is there a common landlord who collects the rent and has to fix any problems that arise?

Are the roofs made of clay or is it the same concrete used to build the buildings or is it asphalt material? The orange or red roofs suggest ceramic (clay) tiling. But one has to be careful because there are fake ceramic tiles too. The dark grey surfaces mean asphalt roll covering. There is never bare concrete on the roof, it must be insulated against the elements. I can say that about 99% of these houses are privately owned by people. The cost of rent are still too high for average Poles. If they have to rent, they prefer flats.

A problem with your nationality. Which seems to tower here like a lighthouse in Rozewie over Morze Bałtyckie ;D ;D ;D
