Gazeta Wyborcza, a main Polish newspaper had a series of articles with photis of the cemetaries of Krakow and Warsaw. Here is one of my favorite cemeteries in Krakow - Salwador: miasta.gazeta.pl/krakow/51,53181,4623041.html?i=0 candlelights on the grave of famous Polish science fiction writer, Stanislaw Lem: it is almost too busy there! with candles

Here is my mother's grave from the red sandstone at Tyniec cemetery. My brother is a geologist. He took care of the stone.

Beautiful photos of cemetaries. I can't imagine us having any here such. For one I am not sure if they would allow candles to burn unattended. The other is many are not shown respect and have been trampled or flowers stolen. That is how bad it is here. Sometimes teens even have toppled over stones or written graffiti.
