do not remember to ask for a seat on the left side near the window. You can see a beautiful aurora!!!! I never thought about it before but this may be a good idea since the airplanes from the US fly over Greenland and aurora may be very well visible there. I am just listening to the series of scientific lectures by Walter Lewin on MIT and he talks about it. The only two additional ingredients I can think of are at least partial darkness and good auroral activity. Here is a link where you can go to see where the Aurora should be showing well at any one time: www.gedds.alaska.edu/AuroraForecast/you may have to look for the "Polar" view instead of the "Alaska" view.
