This is interesting ... There is a deep game being played here... Bush's meeting in Hel may just be that! HEILIGENDAMM, Germany (AP) - Russian President Vladimir Putin, bitterly opposed to a U.S. missile shield in Eastern Europe, told President Bush on Thursday that Moscow would drop its objections if the system were located in Azerbaijan. Yes, also do I agree with the deep game being played. Mr. Bush is using high stakes to regain his composure from his failure to intimidate the Iranian government in the relinquishing of their nuclear energy programme.
Now, using the defense shield programme as a vehicle to gain European backing against the Iranian threat that is non-existent. Was in the beginning, very thin. The problem with Mr. Bush, he was caught by Russian Vladimir Putin in this fallacy
Now with the American presidency coming into short time before the next election and the new American president placed into office, what will be of this idea? A new foreign policy? A much to do over nothing? Or, the continuance of the missile shield programme?
How ever, there will be a cost attachment, for nothing is for nothing. For how much will the government of Poland be willing to pay for its share of cost? And for that matter, the Czech Government?
For this idea has nothing to do with the EU and as such, no monetary assistance, for this is an independent venture of the Americans.
