I was talking to my friend in Poland. My friends have kids who are 20+, in the age when you study or work. The life in Poland seem to become very similar to the US in this aspect. The unemployment is about 10% (big positive change from 20% of unemployment 10-20 years ago). Many young people study and work. My god son is studying and also working in the evening in the cinema selling popcorn and drinks.
We never ate anything when I was younger while being in the cinema but now... it is just like in the US!
Anyways, it is very good that finally young people have opportunities to earn their own money. I did not have this chance when I was growing up

Jaga,
I find that Poland is like the U.S. was twenty five years ago, and that was when things were good, or better. Families pull together, each does there share. You can trust more people around you. Things are safer. Many help each other. This is some of the reasons I love Poland, and I hope they don't change too much.
