Today it is the first day I really feel that Spring is coming even to Idaho Falls. It is warm and sunny. We could even open the windows and doors. The animals enjoy this weather also.
My crocuses are blooming.
Really, the first Spring day, a bit late. But it is better late than never!

It is finally spring here, too. The grass is just starting to get green and the trees barely have buds, so it doesn't look spring-like, but you can just feel that it won't snow again for a while, so for me, that's spring enough!

Suzanne...tomorrow and the next few days they are predicting 70's here. Then who knows. The poor flowers are playing hide and seek with the sun.

Chris, It's here on LI. The dandelions are in full array, so it is now too late for any weed and feed treatment. The lawn care professionals screw up again. Probably better off with dandys then weed killer in the ground water. There are more important issues then lawn dandelions. My daffys are so pretty, they lift my spirits. Water still too chilly for any productive fishing, but it won't be long now.

I came home tonight to a bit over an inch of new snow, heavy stuff saturated with melt water and the water that was standing on the driveway. I shoveled it tonight, figuring it would be no easier in the morning, and then it might be frozen to the asphalt. Heavy, heavy snow! Even this Snowman says: "ENOUGH!"

Well, I woke up to a surprise new 6" (150mm) of snow this morning. So much for springtime! It reminds me of 1997 when I was driving through a snowstorm south of the High Tatras at Easter time...
Kai Enjoying my coffee before I go out to move some snow and then come in to empty some paint cans ....
Springtime??

Kai, Global warming seems to only be effecting certain parts of the world. Guess Alaska missed out(lol). Consider your self fortunate. Weather predictions for this summers hurricane season are scary for me on eastern Long Island.
