So now life is getting real interesting with our governour involved in a sex scandal. I missed the breaking news so will be tuned in like the rest to hear what happens. I always thought he was a sleaze ball and now he has proved me correct. Another politition bites the dust.
I think I can speak for most to say this is just an embarrassment for most New Yorkers.

Chris, I hope you don't mind that I moved this discussion from the Poland focus section.

No ...sorry...I did not see the Poland. That is what I get for reading when I have not had coffee and just woke up. Thanks...I promise to do better next time.

Humans are made in God's Image, and God does not do prostitution! Shame on Gov. Spitz for being such a poor role model to America's children! People who do these things, men and women, should be put to pick up garbage on city streets, not be city governors! In a time when millions of U.S. citizens strive to make ends meet from month to month, some of our leaders spend as much as 31,000 dollars a day (from dawn to dawn), on prostitutes! To be sure, one cannot always blame women for what happens! It is johns who should pay the harsher penalty, as today in Sweden! The johns do it always for pleasure. Women, in turn, many times do it to feed their children (not all women are innocent, though)! Be as it may, prostitution degrades human beings! In a society with Warren Buffetts and Bill Gateses women in need should always be able to get help for their children! But this will never happen as long as we elect governors like Mr. Spitz, who would rather live to a spitz's name, than the Image of God that is in us!

Chris/rdy, Here we go again on philandering politicians. The insider pol observer says this guy was a long time call girl user. In pol circles he was known as an arrogant bully. Insiders say it was only a matter of time before his arrogance caught up with him. Step on the wrong toes(probably Joe Bruno) and your secrets are no longer secret. Politics is a skeevy business. This is true throughout the world. Ask any pol and he/she will say that's true, but not me. I will be attending a political dinner tomorrow nite. If I can wade my way through the political b/s to glean some truth(don't laugh) I'll give you the scoop. The truly sad aspect of the sordid affair is the effect it will have on his wife and children.

FTB... I'm not sure who the person was but remember it was a political talk show on the radio and the person told about how Spitzer called him up and demanded he retract his statement. He also said he had attacked him viciously and was extremely vulgar. That is not how a politician acts nor any one for that matter. He sounded very scary to me and that always stuck with me. In the mean time I have heard many stories since that were very similar. I think the guy he called worked for the NY Times. Have you maybe heard about that story.
I also feel for his family. Spitzer doesn't even care I don't think only for the fact he was caught. He is a very arrogant person. He should resign immediately....whats he waiting for an invitiation. My brother and his girlfriend both work in Albany for the Gov. I can imagine what it must be like there the past few days.

Chris, Great dinner this evening. Have you ever had corned Bison? Very interesting flavor and different from traditional corned beef. Any way, the scoop is that at least 99% of what is being reported is true. By now the Guv is gone. Paterson takes over Monday. Guv needed time to have his people try to broker a deal with the feds and supposedly to give Paterson time to get his people together. The second part is probably b/s to cover Guv's a-- while he continues to extricate himself from being indicted. He is not getting much support from his own party, partly because he is not well liked and mostly because pols try to distance themselves when one of thier own goes down. Be interesting to watch what develops. If client # 9 is indicted, what's going to happen to clients 1 thru 8 and beyond. Traditionally, the johns get off and the girls, madams get jail time. Nobody is taking bets on this one. The revelations come at a less then advantageous time for the Dems. Best hope is that Paterson will turn out to be the savior. Nobody is taking bets on this either. Life goes on.
