I read that the Chinese language has 15,000 symbols. I wonder if most Chinese really know what they all mean. I asked my friend Ching to look at it. He says its all shopping links or a recipe for baking a cat. Ching is hilarious! I am his lucky Caucasian.

[ 8-)quote]Anybody knows what they mean? Old wise man Confusius say Who say I say Everything they say I say. ;D[/quote] Chris You are so funny!! I am not so sure of Confusius as rather he was old or young man. But logic is: An old man must be wise, other wise he would not be old. Charles

Kai, thanks for deleting the other one. I banned Molihe. I opened one of the links: www.molihe.com/and it leads to a colorful page with many chinese characters and some nice pictures. It looks that this website is similar to "myspace".

Guys, they are not real people, but spamming bots. Technical advisors from Proboards Support say this: The only way to stop those is to not allow guest posting at all. Those are known chinese spam bots and those links lead back to porn and viruses. It's adviseable to delete those posts as well. Their ips always change and they have a script that changes their name when they post as a 'guest.'So, I would propose you delete all those links above to prevent someone getting a virus. Read this thread about it: support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=support&action=display&thread=228943

I can't tell you how many times I have suggested to Jaga to close this to guests to end this but it falls on deaf ears. I really do not see the advantage of opening to a guest. If they really have something to say and wanting to post bad enough they will subscribe.

If they really have something to say and wanting to post bad enough they will subscribe. Rdy, That sounds like a lot of nagging! Jaga has made a decision and is running with it successfully, and states at the beginning of this thread "I like these Chinese letters. I am not going to delete them. " So far they are harmless and it provides a bit of sport to cull them on occasion, and perhaps for a few of us willing to take the risk to see what is on the other end of the connection. I am willing to follow Jaga's decision and guidelines. Until we have some trouble, why not continue on so? The ability of guests to post has been handy for me on a few travels when I was away and did not remember the S E C R E T password for signing in. Back to the nagging theme, why make your life miserable and the person you are nagging, if you don't expect to change that person or action? Why not look for another approach to convince the person rather than torture them? Then again, is it really so important that it must be changed? Obviously I don't think highly of nagging! Kai

You call it nagging but then you are a guy. I was responding to Pawian's post. If you all don't mind then why always comment about the posters spamming.

Well, I am in the business of cleaning up the spam on a pretty regular basis, and it seems a fair number of people are much more bothered by it than Jaga and I am. So I respond occasionally to their comments. If spam were a daily occurrence it would bother me.
Why should a guy be more sensitive to nagging than a woman? There are many variations on the web, some ascribed to Einstein, and some to Ben Franklin, but it seems to fit nagging: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."
A young cousin once told me how she nags her husband. I asked if she really expects him to change due to her nagging, and she responded, "no". So I had to ask her why she would take away from the quality of her life and his; why not try to find some way to effectively change his behavior?
She got huffy and that was the end of that conversation! Now we could simply go on following George Bush with his "Stay the course.", whatever undefined direction that may lead us....

Till the first time someone loses his/her computer contents due to a virus after clicking on the link which is left alone in the forum... ;D ;D ;D
