here is more about funeral ceremony:
Poland's national team gathers at local church to remember the late Agata Mroz:
BAD WALTERSDORF, Austria: Poland's national football team gathered at a local Catholic church Friday for a memorial prayer for Agata Mroz, a two-time women's European volleyball champion who died at 26 Wednesday from an infection two weeks after a bone marrow transplant.
Candles flickered in front of a picture of Mroz along with a national volleyball team jersey and two volleyballs that were placed on the altar of the Baroque church.
The players sat in wooden pews while a priest, dressed in purple robes, led prayers for Mroz, a member of Poland's European Championship-winning team in 2003 and '05.
Players and Polish fans then moved to the small square outside the church and released red-and-white balloons in memory of Mroz, who ended her career in 2007 due to the progressing bone marrow illness.
