Israel needs security. Because it is small, its security depends on military and nuclear determent. This is the first reality today in the Middle East. No one can deny this much. How this plays out no human being can predict. Israel fears not Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, or Jordan: it fears Iran! This is the second reality and factor. The rest is an enigma that remains in the realm of the unknown. I wish I had an idea what to counsel. The world cannot watch Israel die ... or to act irrationally out of fear. Iran has to prove it deserves to be a good neighbor. It has to do it now, for the time may be running out! I see nothing else. The countries with which Iran still talks must redouble diplomatic efforts in helping Iran to see the light. No one wants another war in that region. Middle east is a dangerous powder keg. A single spark may set the world on fire. Remember the I World War? Franz Ferdinand was the crown prince of the Austrian empire. In 1914 he and his wife went on a visit to Serbia, a country that Austria had a strong influence over. Several Serbian nationalists, who wanted independence from Austria, decided that they would try to kill the prince. On 28th June 1914 they succeeded. His death led to the Austrian government making very strong demands on Serbia. Russia, keen to gain influence in Serbia, supported the Serbs. Days later the First World War had begun with the Germans declaring war on Russia. Middle East is much more treacherous than the Balkanes and Austria! This is why Iran must not be allowed to play with fire! This is not a Zoroastrian fire worship. This is real stuf!

If Iran dares to attack Israel with the inferior weapons it has, the country will change in a ruïn or a Nuclear polluted zone
after the Israeli counter attack. The Israeli's simply are the strongest militairy force in the region!
I am sure that if any country strikes a large attack on Israel that Israel will use it's Nuclear warheads which are placed
in the Negev desert!

Pieter I was curious pieter As you are an employee of a very respected news agency, you do have access to information that is not readily accessible. Your reference to Israeli Nuclear war-heads in the Negev, would by chance this be {Dimona}? The Jews have problems with most every one on various occasions for a multitude of reasons, and this reason is a continuance of previous situations. They will find their way if they keep their heads. Saber rattling is a way of life in the Mid-East, and the Jews are not so different. But whilst on the other coin side, they are not so innocent with 1st strike option they have so demonstrated in the recent years past. This as a resolve to be the only big kid in the desert with ownership of Nuclear Weapons. But with ownership of such powerful explosives, so goes also the responsibility. For a good detonation in targeting {that is accurate with fall out confined to a narrow section of un-in-habited land devoid of prevailing wind drift}, it is a very large risk. The Jews have been reckless in past, would you so suppose they would be so more reckless as to use a nuclear device within the proximity of their neighbours? Charles |

Yes, it's called "Never Again!". I f people will do an attempt to destroy them they
will destroy the people that wanted to destroy them. Ofcourse only if they have
the advance of being first. The Egyptians, Saudi's and Iranians are stronger than
in the past. But in reality I don't think that none of the parties would prefer
a nuclear option. The Nuclear option will only be used if the existance of the Nation
and it's people is at stake. That is not the situation yet!

I do not understand why.... Persia and Israel cannot coexist. When did Ira/Persia ever attacked Israel???
