I agree with you I don't know how Ahmed can justify the murders of his female children in the name of "honour" and yet hope to have 72 virgins in heaven. It's seems to be a 'cult' mindset.

Good presentation, wish I had not seen it.. Some cultures have ways of thinking that are so different, and so abhorrent to us, that I ...wish I did not have to acknowledge them either. Charles, I do not agree. I read it earlier and you should not censor yourself. I found nothing to object to in your post - you spoke the truth. I think that his culture will support him in his actions. Recently I read Bookseller of Kabul - an excellent book, written by a Norwegian journalist who asked permission to live with and write about an Afghani family. the Bookseller thought she would glorify him, but instead she told the truth as she saw it. There are still cultures where women are disrespected and evil against them is tolerated. The more I read, the more I learn that this is the norm, not the exception. I confess I do not understand this, as without women, men could not enter this life. Where is the logic? there is none.

Nancy
You are a dear heart! I awoke in the night thinking what I had written and cause and effect upon those that may have read it. In an eye blink, I thought I had deleted it before being read, but, I now understand, I failed. Thank you so very much for your understanding!! This for sure!!!
I must hold my self to a certain standard of conduct, must be so, other wise how may I hold another to a standard of conduct? In my life I have seen violence, death and what people will do to others and worse, to those that they should love the most and protect.
Nancy, I must confess to some thing though in concerns to Arab and Islamics. I hold a very very low opinion of them. Not as people though, we as people, are important, without religion or laws to interfer with us as people. It is the practice of a law or religion that I will draw a line on when it condons abuse.
God does not abuse people, people will do that..
The Arab religion seem to hold abuse at a very high level and esteme, there is no excuse for that. As a person (a man) I can find no excuse for that or justification.
Well, darn now, I think I will just have another gin tonic over that...
