Poor familes! My condolences. Flying should be avoided at all cost, given the preciousness of life. When I went to Europe, from Baltimore, I took my pickup on a ferry, with a firm intention that my last flight would be to get back my pickup, in Antwerpen! Yesterday, as I heard about this accident, I was thinking of the fleetingness of life. At night several mole-like creatures flew in. One sat on my computer "watching the nightly news," never turning its head away from the screen. I watched that creature for hours, while working on the computer. It was an astoundingly lively and beautiful insect, with a bulky head, entirely armored like a tank. Its body was in all shades of gold, copper, and autumn leaves, like those seen in Alaska. The creature fell asleep on edge of the computer screen. Upon leaving, I took it gently and placed it on a window sill where it was cooler. This morning she and all her companions were dead. I wondered with sadness how short life is for some of those flying creatures! I wonder about the fleetingness of the human life also, and how responsible we need to be with our time!
