Starting today, the Bible will be read on TV to all humanity thanks to an enlightened initiative of Benedict XVI: "La Parola di Dio - ha sottolineato Ratzinger - potra cosi entrare nelle case per accompagnarsi alla vita delle famiglie e delle singole persone: un seme che, se bene accolto, non manchera di portare frutti abbondanti"(The Word of God, underscored Ratzinger, will in this way enter the households, to make company to the families and to the single persons: a seed which, if well received, will not fail to bring abundant fruits). It is a superb idea that will foster peace and understanding among races and religions throughout the world, and I have no doubt that both the republicans and the Democrats will endorse it.
No one ever came up with such brilliant idea to my knowledge, so I personally comment the Pope for this action. Given the Bible's length, the Bible will be read by 1,200 different people from around the world, with the first chapters of Genesis being read by the Pope, on TV Rai, in Italy. It is encouraging to think, how many millions of non-Christians will learn about God and His Son through these readings!
