Another thread is discussing the SKYPE technology for communication, and I was wondering what phone cards people use for their Long Distance phone use. Here in the USA, I use onesuite.com and am generally happy with the service and the price. Of course, each country has a different price, and different rates for land line and mobile phones dialed. It is only available in USA and Canada for dialing out. I too sometimes have a line with a satellite delay, and that's a little annoying when you get it.
I'd be interested in hearing what other cards are used both in USA calling out, and from Poland calling out.

I use USA Datanet and for my long distance calls too. I can talk anywhere in the NE coast for 99c as long as I want and west coast for 1.99 as long as I wish. I use it to call Poland and I think it was .12 or 13 cents a minute. If you use me as a referral I get credit and so do you and if you join and get a referral the same and so on and so on. I have saved tons of money as most of my friends are out of town. My long distnace bill went from 25.00 to 50.00 to 2.00 or 3.00 if that at the most. My referral # is 140464 if there are any takers. It cost nothing to join and you only pay if you use it where when I belonged to ATT I paid 4.95 /mo whether I called or not. If you sign up you are able to make calls usually within a matter of hours.

Hmmm... Onsesuite.com has rates for all countries, and some are very, very attractive. Others just OK. Domestic is 2.5c per minute. Any Poland land line is 4.5c per minute, but jumps to .29c per minute if you call a cell phone(well, cell phones with listed prefixes anyway. Mine wasn't listed on the site, so my wife could call me on the cell for .045 CZ is 3.5c, with .20 for cell. Calling Russia is between 3.5c - 6.5c. There are no 'maintenance or call setup" fees whatsoever. I guess that's what I need to figure, how those charges plus the lower "per-minute rate balance out against the rate I now pay. Geez, you need to be an accountant!

My answer to this telephone card question is here: jagahost.proboards79.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1137447076However, I have two questions of my own: 1 - what is SKYPE technology; where can I find the thread? 2 - is USAData Net an ISP? Some of my kids (all of whom have high-speed INTERNET access) have their ISP and telephone access rolled into one and it is relatively cheap; another makes telephone calls through the computer (I do not like the quality of these calls). Thanks, GM
