I don't know about anybody else but this impressed me. Submerged Russian Sub Launches Satellite Created: 28.05.2006 15:46 MSK (GMT +3), Updated: 15:46 MSK, 12 hours 27 minutes ago MosNews Russia put into orbit a satellite carried by a converted ballistic missile launched from a submerged nuclear submarine, the Russian navy said. “The Northern Fleet on Friday at 10:50 pm went ahead with the launch of a scientific satellite Kompas-2 from the Barents Sea with the help of a Shtil launcher,” a navy spokesman said. The launch was carried out from the submarine Yekaterinburg commanded by Captain Sergei Rachug, he added. The satellite will study atmospheric, volcanic and seismic phenomena.

J.J.
That is impressive! To make use of a submarine as a stable plat-form for a missile launch of a satellite. Shows in self, initiative and confidence of a previous untried technical accomplishment.
This in self, is a self indication of the viability of accuracy inherent of a submarine launch.
At the moment, I had more to say, but, am not very viable to Russian accomplishments at this time.
{very sorry for bad mind set}

Charles,
No accuracy required to launch, just to control the missile once in the open air. Then to put it in orbit.
My opinion.
