Judging from the numerous satellite dishes, I'm guessing this photograph is newer than the 1980s. Apartment blocks back then were truly built on an enormous scale, and when you consider that most districts had many similarly large buildings... it's quite impressive! Of course, it's fun to walk in the parks in between the buildings... you feel like a tiny speck in between the trees and the buildings!

Yes, we had quite many satellite dishes then. It was before Internet boom, so this was the only way for people to know what is going on in the world around them. The buildings are impressive but I would not like to live there all my life.
