The deputies of the Ukrainian Zaporozhie regional Council have sent a request to the State government to rename one of their villages after Michael Jackson, who died not long ago, Russian website Lenta.ru reports.
According to Ukrainian newspaper Reporte Zaporozhiya, the renaming has been already discussed at the one of the regional council meetings. The deputies will come to a final decision at a second meeting.
The small village of Oktyabrskoe, in the Zaporozhie region, is reported to be the chosen candidate.
