Wonderful photos! I especially enjoyed seeing the countryside photos - it looks very peaceful.
Since you see a lot of changes every time you visit Poland, what were your impressions? And what were Ela's impressions? Has she learned some Polish?

Eric, glad that you liked the photos. The new generation of Poles grew since I left. They are already Europeans, they travel all around the world, they can work in many EU countries. These people have the same chances as Western Europeans. Poland changed in positive direction during the last 20 years, this is for sure. I still believe that Poles should have a chance to learn Russian but it should not be obligatory for all children as the first foreign language....

Interesting... I think if you tell young Poles that they should learn Russian, they'll just laugh and say "What for?"

Interesting... I think if you tell young Poles that they should learn Russian, they'll just laugh and say "What for?" There is definitively lots of business exchange and also the people exchange between Poland and Russia. But there is lots of distrust especially since Russia is still not a democratic country and did not really do a frank analysis of its history. For instance these last allegations that Poland is guilty of WW II since it did not agree to give Hilter to his demands which was suggested by Russian historians is a pure nonsense, especially since Russia never admit that Hitler and Stalin were united before 1941 in its conquer of Europe and by political treaties.
