Bravo! Komeda died praecoxiously which is a great pity. He died in a nonsense way (which by some twist of the nature seems to be almost a rule concerning genious people) He is porobably best known for Rosemary's baby abroad, which well depicts his predilection to 'real', complicated, 'syncopa' jazz. While in Poland he is best known for this simple ballad. original by Edmund Fetting: present re-make by great group 'Raz, dwa, trzy'

In December 1968, in Los Angeles, Krzysztof Komeda had a tragic accident which led to a haematoma of the brain. There are various accounts of what happened: car accident in the autumn of 1968, being pushed off an escarpment by writer Marek Hłasko during a drinking party. After having been transported to Poland, he died as a result of wrong treatment of haematoma. Roman Polański mentions in his memories that as a result of friendly rough and tumble with Marek Hłasko, Komeda fell down and suffered head injuries.
It is believed that one of the key reasons Krzysztof was transported back to Poland after the accident, is that for some unexplained reason, he did not have US medical insurance . Though the dubious cause of the accident and subsequent travel back to Poland could have explain why US medical treatment was not pursued.
