A 47-year-old citizen of Poland residing in Brussels has been detained on murder charges.
The man is accused of stabbing his partner and wounding a passer-by. The crime was committed on Friday in Schaerbeek district inhabited by many Poles. The woman who was stabbed during an argument died, another woman, who witnessed the crime, is in a critical state.
The killer fled the crime scene but was later detained by police. (mg)

Jaga,
Poles are like other people, you have good Poles, bad apples and bad people! If people live in a small space with to many of their own you get tensions. Like rat experiments showed us!
A lot of rats in a small living space become nervous, stressed and agressive towards other rats! Add jealousy to it and the image is complete.
I don't say Poles or humans in general are the same like rats, but there is a simularity of behavior with individual rats and humans and a collective group of rats and humans.
I think Pavlov did experiments to proove this.
I read about problems in Dutch pentions with guestworkers too, Polish and non Polish. Too many people in one small room, differant life conditions then at home and love affairs that lead to conflicts. (when changing partners is the case)
Add alcoholism, drugs abuse, loneliness, and unvoluntairy coexistance with compatriots you did not choose and you have an explosive mix. This is a minority of the Polish people abroad, but these bad apples and people exist unfortunately.
You have Polish murderers too!

Pieter,
yes, unfortunately bad apples are everywhere. We just need to be careful so that the world would not identify Poles with increased crime etc.

Jaga,
I see this as a very tragic incident for the woman who died and the woman who is in critical state, and their families.
But I don't identify the crime with nationality, the murderer and the he woman could have been Dutch, Russian or Maroccan for instance. I don't hear stories like this about Poles on a regular basis. I read more stories like this and other crime stories in Western Europe about Rumanians, Albanians and honour killings in certain orthodox muslim migrant communities.
family drama's, killers and lunatics you have in every people!
