Carl, George, Charles, Kai and all, do you have a Link TV? It is available in dish network. This is a really independent TV, they may be even considered too liberal in some aspect (for me). They also carry the news from arab countries and from Israel as well as German news (in English). They have also interesting films and programs. Recently the even have so caleld Zogby report with this famous Zogby polster: www.linktv.org/programming/programDescription.php4?tz=0&code=viewpointThis is a very interesting TV because they are antii-corporation and anti-lobby. You can also call them during the program!

I checked on line and we ahve cable and sattelite, but I am on the mountianside and get by fine with rabbit ears and 6 normal braodcast channels. I don't use those often enough to justify paying for 30 or 60 more. I also do not have DSL, so going with an internet broadcast is out of the question
One of our stations is Fox, and another I heard refered to as "communist news", but the fellow also used the phrase "faschist communists" so I suspect there was more hatred than intellect behind the creation of that label. I watch both on occasion. The world continues to turn with or without my influence. It was quite a shock the first time I was out in the bush for three months without regular news sources!
Once they hit the first $1,000,000 salary for a television news reader (reporter) I categorized the "news media" as part of the entertainment media.

;D Jaga, Kai, et-al in the forum. I must be getting soft in my old age because I DO watch Link too. I also watch the Documentry channel, Discovery, The Learning Channel (nothing has rubbed off yet) and History channel plus a plethora of other programs including 'Life in the ER" and Animal Channel "Meerkat Manor" and a bunch of the "Prehistoric Earth Series". But, I still enjoy "Fox and Friends" in the morning.
