4.4 earthquake strikes near Pico Rivera

A magnitude 4.4. earthquake shook the Los Angeles area Tuesday morning, with an epicenter near Pico Rivera, Calif.
The temblor was widely felt this morning in the Los Angeles area, striking at about 4:04 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

JJ, Where is your respect? Just because LA has a reputation for being a bit ditzy (thus the LA LA Land nickname), it doesn't mean the 4.4 isn't a major thing for them. At least until they pull a 7er or above! Hey, with all of the Californians 'half a bubble off', maybe this will shake them straight! Kai

The west coast is having a LOUSY EASTER fer sure: Baja quake shoving activity northwest toward Los AngelesApril 4, 4:35 PMLA Weather ExaminerKevin Martin A magnitude 6.9 quake has triggered a 5.1, 4.5 and a couple three pointers around it. While these are not aftershocks, these are signs the quake has disturbed the neighboring sleeping fault-zones. The activity will move northwest through the night and into the next several days. The activity is shoving stress directly toward the Inland Empire to Los Angeles County Zones, where the next quake will likely strike. A quake may or may not strike those zones, however already have your earthquake supplies and plans on standby, especially since the faultlines are now disturbed.
