There was quite unusual bad stormy weather in Arnhem this evening. I had to stay in the Radio studio in Arnhem South, because I could not go outside to go to my home in Arnhem North.
I watched outside the window and saw clouds flying by, the air was dark green. In circling violent movement everything was flying in the air. Half trees, plastic chairs, plastic bags, dirt and etc.
For the first time I saw here what I only see on documentries about the South of the USA. Tornado like weather.
Roofs were blown in the air and landed on highways and roads, trees are blocking roads. Many windows are broken ofcourse. One car was hit and total loss nearby.
The streets look like a war zone with all the trees that are lying on the sidewalks and roads. The storm calmed down a bit and I am going to cycle back over the John Frost Bridge (the Bridge from the movie "A bridge to far".
I am curious if people are hurt, wouned or dead?
