My oldest nephew and a goodson was just married yesterday. Szymek and his wife, Kasia really wanted us to be at their wedding but the travel is so costly and far. Here are some pictures. Kasia's family comes from Poronin in Polish mountains. The second picture background is a castle in Niepolomice: culture.polishsite.us/forum10/Szymek2.jpg

Nice people in nice dresses. Are they in Goral costumes?

Hmmm Pieter ... they look Goral with the black vests and hats. Besides, the other Highlanders were kicked out in 1947. So that is my guess too.

Yes, of course they are in Goral costumes since the bride is from Poronin, mountenous village in Tatra's mountains. Poronin is also famous since Lenin was living there for a couple of years when he was not allowed back to Russia. Here is Poronin from google maps: maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=poronin&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=32.38984,32.695313&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Gmina+Poronin,+Tatras+Region,+Lesser+Poland,+Poland&ll=49.315051,19.985676&spn=0.071172,0.121708&t=h&z=13

J.J.
By all means, it is good of you to share such joy and wonderment of two precious people brought together in Wedlock.....For each and all are so happy with the blessings shared.
The couple are so lovely together, may their blessings be a multitude and with the hand of protection always to be over them both as their shield.
Thank you J.J. once again for your sharing of such blessed event.
