German politicians have condemned a computer generated photo of Poland's leaders sucking the German Chancellor Angela Merkel's bare breasts. The image appears on the cover of the Polish weekly Wprost, and is titled "Stepmother of Europe". A Polish council overseeing ethics in the media said the montage overstepped "the limits of good taste". Tension between the neighbouring countries has been building following last week's European Union summit. The mocked up image shows Polish Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski and his twin brother, President Lech Kaczynski, nuzzling at Ms Merkel's chest. Germany's Foreign Minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, called the image "tasteless". Social Democrat Markus Meckel, head of the German-Polish parliamentary group, said: "It is quite unbelievable. Poland has lost so many friends over the past weeks and months. It should really think hard in the future about how it hopes to win them back." 'Negative atmosphere' Erika Steinbach, a politician from Ms Merkel's party who represents the interests of Germans forced to flee from present-day Poland during World War II, said Poland's leaders were to blame for tension between the two countries. "The Kaczynski brothers must bear the responsibility for this negative atmosphere," she told the Hannover-based Neuen Presse newspaper. Ahead of the Brussels summit Poland demanded a boost to its EU voting rights at Germany's expense and threatened to refuse to sign up to a new EU treaty because it would give bigger countries such as Germany too much decision-making power. Poland eventually persuaded Ms Merkel, whose country oversaw the summit as the current EU president, to insert a clause into the treaty postponing the introduction of the voting system until 2014. In arguing for an extension of the vote system the Polish Prime Minister raised Poland's World War II suffering under Nazi Germany. And a day after Berlin said it wanted to heal the tensions exposed during the summit, Jaroslaw Kaczynski told Polish public radio "something very negative" is happening in Germany. He went on to compare modern-day Germany to the Nazi era of the 1930s but said Europeans did not dare speak out. "Like in an era which has already passed, the large majority of Europeans didn't have the courage to talk about it, it is the same today," Mr Kaczynski said. This cover is just funny. Besides, Mrs Merkel should be glad that her breasts are so nice. Wprost magazine loves to shock its reades with scandalous covers. Nothing boosts the sales better than a little scandal. Look at others covers. Jerzy, John, thanks for the update. Wprost has sometimes very shocking font covers. Sometimes they cross the line I think. It is hard to imagine that Poles were able to shock Germans with their cover. Usually is the other way

Nice covers Pawian! ;D ;D ;D ;D Certainly they are not boring. If that`s good or bad taste, is another matter. There are many more which can be considered scandalous. In 90s Wprost was even sued because of the cover with Virgin Mary wearing a gas mask, I vaguely remember it was about pollution.

The only one I don't like and do not find funny is; We are getting out of Poland Unfortunately, it is so painlessly true. But those young people don`t show the gesture to us in general. They show it to employers and politicians. I don`t feel offended at all.

Haaa that is funny! But then, very true. The Polish Warsaw government has been sucking on the near side of the cow udder for some time now for hand outs, sad faces and remembrances of the war as a victim. It is aways the same old saw.
As the time comes for the Warsaw government to help with the fodder to feed the cow, it is one excuse after another, with another sad story of the victimization under the heel of the nasty Germans.
What we do not need, is another East Germany to suck off hind teat of the cash cow as what is exactly what the Warsaw government is attempting to do.
What we need, is for the twins to get off their butts and get to work and begin producing. Or, would rather they wish to suck up to the Russians with this the rhetoric they have been handing down to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Every thing is simple, for there are no mysteries in life. You receive what you earn. And so far the twins have earned very little for respect, trust, nothing.

Yes, they constantly play the same cards. They don`t let the demons go to sleep. Hmm, I think that Poland pays its due share to the European budget. I haven` t heard about any delays. Of course, you mean moral production, don`t you? They feel trapped between Russia and Germany. The old Polish complex of two rivals, even enemies, on both Polish frontiers. Kaczynski brothers are a perfect example of this complex. They are not European yet, or better to say they are too Eastern European, funny little warriors. Poland is still waiting for her European politician. How can you say so??? Look at those two sucking babies at Merkel`s shapely breasts. Aren`t they adorable??? Twins, I mean. If you don`t feel any trust or respect, then you surely have no maternity instinct!!

www.spiegel.de/politik/deutschland/0,1518,452424,00.html 6 months ago a German paper ridiculed Kaczynski brothers, compared them to potatoes, implied that one of them who still lives with his mothes is queer etc etc. There was a lot of indignation on the Polish side, some twins` eager followers even tried to investigate the matter on the German territory. German politicians pointed to the freedom of the press. Such things happen and nobody should feel offended. Journalists have the right to criticise and ridicule politicians. Today the situation reversed and Germans are behaving exactly as Poles did 6 months ago. They pay a lot of attention, comment, express indignation, etc etc. Isn`t it funny?

Dear people,
Tonight we were watching the Dutch 22.00 hours news and saw an item about Angela Merkel, and her popularity in Germany because of her chairmanship of the EU and how she dealt with the G8. Both my parents and I find Merkel a very good bundeskanzler of Germany, and my parents aren't fond of Germany or Germans. My mother is irritated every time she sees the Kaczynski twins, and she said that she can't understand why the Poles voted that midget as a president. She say that they look strange, behave strange and can't understand what the people saw and see in them. They are a sort of trolls in her eyes. She even is a little bit ashamed of Poland and find it hard to understand the Polish position. Anyway the Polish government is crazy in her view!

Dear people, My mother is irritated every time she sees the Kaczynski twins, This peculiar feature is shared by many Poles hahahaha including me. I am sure he won`t get another chance. His popularity level is extremely low. Yes, it is hopeless. PS. Once I asked you a question but you might have missed it. I want to know why other smaller countries like Holland, for example, didn`t support Kaczynskis and their proposition? Didn`t the Dutch want more voting power?
