Poles celebrate November 1st, as the All Saints Day. This day is a holiday. During November 1st weekend everybody is on the road since people want to visit the graves of their family members located sometimes far from the town they live.
Poles also celebrate All Souls' Day on November 2nd.
The Halloween tradition is becoming slightly more popular among young people who participate in the parties and dress in funny and scary costumes wearing face masks. But I doubt it would ever take over All Saints Day in Polish tradition.

DeCroix family question
jagahost.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=history&thread=9737&page=1
I am looking for Count Adolph DeCroix and his family. Also any family members connected with him. I have vague information. Other than his wife whose last name I do not have either, was of aristocratic old family also. Can you direct me to a site or a place that would have the society of Warsaw during this time period?.
Polish Rap question
jagahost.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=arts&thread=9735&page=1
I am an undergraduate student at Cornell University writing an extensive research paper on how rap emerged as a global phenomenon from its radical political beginnings to a celebratory testament to American political and economic liberalism. A major part of my paper is analyzing rap once it was consumed by a global market, specifically in Eastern Europe. Using Poland as a case study, I wanted to see how Polish rap evolved and if it adopted the glorification of "bling" in American rap.
