Trouble,
I don't believe anyone has a duty to serve in the US forces today. There is not draft. It is an all volunteer armed force. Years ago it was a duty and you were drafted for four years. So what point am I/we missing? I understand God's teaching on homosexuality.

Drafted for four years? I was drafted for two years ( long enough )Jim i think the point is that homosexuals are able to serve their country as well as anyone else. It has nothing to do with " Gods teaching". I doubt if God has a position on the draft.

Your nickname is a good description of where you're coming from. Hell fire and damnation. In all due respect your conclusions are way off the mark. Do your research then come back and tell me some thing of substance to support this nonsense and contradictions.

Jim, when I said that every person has the duty to serve, I meant honorable people who love their country! Such people, when their country needs them, need no draft to show up! It's a moral sense of patriotism I was talking about, not "voluntary draft"!

Joanzaniskey's comments are a deja vu of the personal attacks I have been subject to recently on he Polish Jewish Conservative Forum (kakofonia@jewish.org). There were simply people there who hated me for my Catholic beliefs! But every American has the right to believe what they want! In my case, I believe the Judeo-Christian Bible! As far as my nickname, it should not scandalize anyone. In Polish, you may have missed it, the nickname translates "dobry aniol frasobliwy." Sounds familiar? The Polish people have themselves invented the title "Jezus Frasobliwy"! All I do, is to try to look more like Him, and this, again, should not offend anyone!

troublegoodangel, I suggest you send an e-mail of complaint to the moderator of that forum. Judaism forbids attacking a person due to his/her religious beliefs. Ask any Rabbi. We all worship same God. Carl

Wow Carl, Everything is automated today! Interesting to take the quiz and see how they frame the questions as well as how the results are presented. This should have a thread of its own - it would be interesting to see what people would admit to ...

Thanks Carl
Interesting quiz. It was complicated and some questions some what confusing, results were close but not very accurate. For my self as it may be. The number one on the score, was Morman.
Perhaps it is for my relative ignorace of that religious belief.
It was still an interesting quiz, thank you for introducing it.

Carl, Amazing! Would love to see the profiling data used to reach their conclusions. While I have not yet made the change to UU from Catholicism(having trouble letting go) the results of this quiz may spur me on. Joan

My results were somewhat curious - half Quaker half RC - talk about strange bedfellows!

Uh oh! God is ticked off at America again! d**n those queers George, Just imagine that if we let gays in the military, God will never let us win another war! Well, to counteract that, I propose we send each soldier through the three weeks of counseling that that Evangelical minister went through to become ' thoroughly hetero' or whatever he chose to become!

This was a fascinating quiz. Like Kai, I was intrigued by how the questions were framed. Very little was related to the natural world (my neo-pagan score might have been higher??). My results included: 1. Unitarian Universalism (100%) 2. Liberal Quakers (87%) 3. Neo-Pagan (84%)
