What is this cross about? This is a bit unusual for the flag.

I don't know anything about flags, Jaga. Just passing along a request. Maybe someone in Poland knows more.

Chris, Not that this helps much but the flag in your picture is a lance topper (at least according to Wayne) not an actual flag. According to your orginal post - you state specifically that it is not a Naval flag - and yet the info provided by Pawain shows it as a Naval flag. I am so confused! H

Sorry every one, Pawian is very correct, this is a naval flag. It is the flag of {Sign of Commander of Ship}. The url will begin you with {Rear Admiral} Scroll upwards untill to{Sign of Commander of Ship} www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/pl~.html#RadmCharles

Charles I was at that site but it did not bring me to the one you posted. I must have overlooked it or probably didn't dig hard enough for it. Thanks. Interesting. Now will wait and see to hear the guys response. The board is a "post must be approved by moderator before it shows up...so depending on when moderators release the posts" I prefer this set up better. You see what you post can edit, delete etc ans some times get a response right away.
Thanks for your help people. I never realized we had so many flags for Poland.

I run up the url and came still to bottom of page. {so seems the folks operating the site, are dyslexic}, to insure correct operation, I again cut and past url. Very possible they cut some of the views for reason of multiple hits and non-payment in contribution. the site is volunteer in operation and these folks like money. The up-side though, and this is important, it is all in English, so for non-Polish speaking people, the site is informative and interesting. I am not Linguistic and I do find Marine systems of foreign navy interesting. On a English language forum, it is very helpful to present in that primary language. For if information is presented in a language that non-but-a-few understand, the information is primarily of little to no value. Or, your AOL will not accept the url through a filtering system,as these fellows are placing a tracking cookie on each accessing computer. After each access, I simply remove the fruits of their labour with application of programme {cookie/Trajan} deletion. Charles

Charles...what I was trying to say was I originally went to that site but did not reach the page you posted. I just used www.crwflags.com. Then had to search around for the flags but came up empty handed ...your url brought me right to it.

Then had to search around for the flags but came up empty handed ...your url brought me right to it. That`s strange. I can open Charles`s site: www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/pl~.html#RadmIf you still can`t, open it at the start: www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/then find Pages ordered by country and click on it, find Poland on the list and then find Navyl Flags on this site: www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/pl~.htmlclick on Sign of the Commander of the Ship Hey, Charles`s site has a different address, that`s why you couldn`t open it although it is the same site!!!!

Pawian Thank you for notice of the address differences. I some how harboured the feeling these people were trying to be difficult. for on one recheck for accuracy, a few of the pendants would not display. Happy it is has turned out good.... Charles
