Obviously it by passes all my fat cells. ;D (Have you read Supersize Me)
Killing here has escallated. It is now reading about children killing children without even a blink of an eye as to right or wrong. Learning starts in the home. There is more violence in the world today than ever before. Children are allowed to watch and play violent games. Single family homes with children raising themselves. The government is no help as it has its own agenda. With globalization it will be hard now I think to keep anyone isolated. The world is shrinking.

Jim,
Let us leave the Israelis to their own problems. I cannot call a 57 year state of war a successful foreign policy on their part, and I am sad to see our country adapt their methods in dealing with their neighbors, particularly when their neighbors are not ours. We should have stayed out and bought oil from whatever dictator was selling it, whether he was called emir, sheik, or president for life.
Adapting the policy of "killing them all and letting Allah sort them out" is not working. You say 'value human life' but you are ignoring the many innocents who are being killed by our carelessness. That is generating many extremists where there were none, and many more than any of the few extremist Mullahs out their teaching.
So you are saying we are there to protect Israel and punish Iran for a president who denies the Holocaust? This is like painting the Golden Gate Bridge. We can circle the globe getting rid of "false beliefs" and by the time we finish one circle we can start on the next. It is a never ending task you have set upon upon. Unfortunately my country is being dragged along on the quest! We are tilting at windmills. A bit of isolationism would not be bad.

Kai,
Unfortunately we can not leave Israelis alone. We are tied to them politically. And you may be right 'we should have stayed out' however, we did not and now must deal with it. The terrorists are killing more innocents then anyone. 911 Africa etc. No one speaks of them any more. No we should not punish the president of Iran for his remarks. But we should listen to what he is saying.

THere is a difference between being an isolationist state or have a moderate foreign policy. Being an isolationist is ONE EXTREME and going to war for unchecked reasons is ANOTHER EXTREME.
Do you believe that Americans in Pakistans are admired for the airstrike that killed 18 people? Do Americans really win hearts and minds of Iraqis after the scandals in Abu Graib, capturing innocent people and 30 thousands of colateral damage? Not even mentioning that they went to this war for unchecked reason.
Why it was Iraq not Sudan that was attacked? In SUdan real genocide was taking place in the very time when Iraq was invaded? Iraq was already confined and Saddam could not do too much.
