and this is not only because she is Clinton. There is a double-standard in judging men and women: No one has called Barack Obama a witch. No one has suggested John McCain is too ambitious. No one has disparaged Mitt Romney for misting up. No one has accused John Edwards of faking emotions. No one has depicted Mike Huckabee as calculating. No one has critiqued the pitch of Rudy Giuliani's voice. from: www.mercurynews.com/ci_8025804?source=most_emailed&nclick_check=1

When Romney, Guliani or Huckabee get emotional .... they just show their human feelings. But with Hillary it is just different. She is a calculating witch. here is more from FoxNews: Hillary Tells Audience She’s Misty-Eyed AgainHillary Clinton got misty-eyed again. A close-up shot of Clinton at a meeting reveal what appear to be moist eyelids on the former first lady before she took the microphone Monday at a Yale Child Study Center event in New Haven, Conn. The moment came after one of her old law school professors Clinton indicated the moment had gotten to her. “I said I would not tear up. Already, we’re not exactly on that path,” Clinton told the audience The comment comes just one day before the presidential candidates face voters in Super Tuesday polls, and Clinton is hoping to edge out a surging Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination. This also comes less than a month after another public emotional moment for Clinton. elections.foxnews.com/2008/02/04/hillary-tells-audience-shes-misty-eyed-again/#comment-175764

You do understand that FOX is not a real news network, dont you? You know, like the Colbert Report or The Daily Show.
I enjoy the democrats fighting over who is the most "oppressed" candidate!!! Its making them fall on their own sword!
In Ohio tuesday Im going to go vote against the candidate that I despise the most. Luckily, In Ohio I can vote for any candidate of any party.
America is ready for a pink w/purple polka dot president If we could choose someone who worried about the common citizen. I dont have to vote for Hillary to prove that Im not sexist. I dont have to vote for Obama to prove that Im not racist. I dont have to vote for Huckabee to prove Im christian. I dont have to vote for McCain to prove Im patriotic

uncle Tim, I loved this sentence. It shows the common sense of people voting. I am not going probably to vote for Hillary but I still think that she is treated differently because she is a woman. Referring to FoxNews, my favorite pseudo-news channel. Here is another thread about it: jagahost.proboards79.com/index.cgi?board=books&action=display&thread=1193112236How conservative mass media show women

The two party system is the best thing to happen to American voters. If I vote for a republican president and a democratic congress, No one can get a bill passed and the country remains safe.
So there you have it, Vote for gridlock!
Stickin it to the man, Uncltim

However, Clinton has come out and said that she would look into dropping the visa requirement for Poles .... tinyurl.com/2a872aand if that is not interesting enough McCain supporter Pastor John Hagee has called the Catholic Church the "Great sleeper" and a cult. tinyurl.com/2nfolzWill they call for McCain to disavow Hagee as Obama was asked to condemn Farrakan?

I would consider going back to Poland myself, I wonder if they will come to the door with a rolling pin and ask where the hell Ive been for 120 years?? ha!! Seriously, I wonder how well an American emigrating to Poland would be received? Do you think they would beat me up?

As a mere outsider, I pose the alternative question - 'Is America ready for a coloured President?'

Leslie,
Sure we are ready for a black president. Got any good candidates over there?

I'll take Jaga back to Poland with me. Jim, thanks, I am ready, but my guys (Ela and John) are probably not Ela is the most popular person in our family. Yesterday she was invited for a Bday party, then she was invited for a movie with a friend. Right now, she is playing with a neighbor who wanted to come and play. The next Saturday she has another Bday party.... I am not sure she wants to leave it all behind
