Some pictures from Warsaw. Those wiewiórkas are great! Are they drunk or what that they mistake people for trees and try to climb them? Wiewiórkas in film

Ioana,
When I was last in Poland May this year, I did get to see many of the same. They have longer ears, than the ones here. They were all over.

Ioana This is a shot of my favourite park in Warszawa - it is about a mile north of the Sheraton Hotel (I think) and is called (I think!) Ujazdowski Park (long time ago I visited it but I thought it was beautiful). I seem to remember there was a statue of Padrewski (?) also in the park. Leslie

Leslie, Park Ujazdowski is beautiful and my favourite one too. Little Liwia was running there while toddler and later. Grown-up Liwia walks there occasionally as well! It is a bit South of Sheraton.

Aren't people in Poland afraid to get so close to squirrels. Here in the US we are taught to stay away as they are rodents and as cute as they maybe do carry or can carry rabies if bit. I may go as far as watch (they are cute ) but would nevr allow one to jump on my body. Not even "Alvin" the chipmunk.

Well, I'm the one to be jump on. They're really nice and won't harm anybody. Normally the don't do such a thing. Don't worry

The disease afflicts wild ones, but they always run away from people.

1999!! My dear.... I can`t believe it! I remember it like today, reading about the flooded books in the old building`s basement and the need to relocate them.... The time passes incredibly swiflty...
